SEPPA SSB-SLE-100 PET Bottle Blowing Machine: Precision Infrared Thermal Conditioning for High Volume Production
OverviewoftheSEPPASSB-SLE-100PETBottleBlowingMachine
Stretch blow molding lives or dies on one variable most buyers never ask about: how evenly the preform heats before it ever reaches the mold. The SEPPA SSB-SLE-100 was built around that fact. At the center of the machine sits an infrared heating system engineered to bring each preform to a uniform, process ready temperature before the stretch rod and blow air stages take over.
Get that step wrong and everything downstream suffers: thin spots, hazing, stress whitening, bottles that fail a drop test nobody wanted to run twice. Get it right, and a pet preform blowing machine like the SSB-SLE-100 turns out consistent wall distribution, shot after shot, at line speeds that hold up across a full shift. That's the premise behind this piece of bottle manufacturing equipment: molecular orientation in PET depends on heat uniformity, which depends on how well the infrared heating system is tuned to the resin and preform geometry.

ApplicationsAcrossBeverage,Water,Food,andPackagingIndustries
Plants rarely run one product. A bottling line might need 500ml water bottles Monday and 1 liter juice containers by Thursday, and the SSB-SLE-100 handles that kind of switching without a full retooling exercise.

WhyChooseSEPPASolutionsforPETBottleBlowingMachines
Seppa has spent years building bottle manufacturing equipment for plants that can't afford unplanned downtime: three shift bottling operations, co packers juggling multiple SKUs, water plants where a stalled line means missed delivery windows. That reality shapes how the machines get engineered.
FMCG buyers keep coming back to Seppa's pet preform blowing machine line for a practical reason: the machines hold thermal calibration over long runs instead of drifting after the first few hours, which is where competing equipment often shows inconsistency. Understanding PET thermodynamics well enough to build a reliable infrared heating system isn't a marketing claim here; it shows up in fewer service calls.
Seppa also designs its equipment to integrate cleanly with existing plant infrastructure, whether that means slotting in next to a semi automatic bottle filling machine already in place or working alongside conveying and labeling gear from other vendors. The goal isn't an all Seppa ecosystem; it's a bottle making machine that does its one job well and plays nicely with whatever else is on the floor.
WorkingMethodologyoftheSSB-SLE-100PETBottleBlowingMachine
The process itself is straightforward to describe, even though getting each stage right in practice takes real tuning:
Preform loading
Preforms feed in via a sorting hopper and orientation wheel, arriving neck up and evenly spaced.

Thermal conditioning
Preforms pass through the infrared heating system, where multi zone lamp banks bring the body to a target window typically 95-105°C for standard PET, adjusted for recycled content resin, which behaves differently under the same lamp settings.

Mold clamping
High precision clamping closes the mold halves with consistent tonnage, verified by pressure sensors every cycle.

Stretching and blowing
The stretch rod extends mechanically while low pressure air pre blows the preform, followed by a high pressure blow stage that pushes material fully into the mold cavity. This two stage approach is what separates a properly engineered pet preform blowing machine from older single stage designs that leave weak spots near the base.

Ejection
Finished bottles eject onto a conveyor, ready to move into a semi automatic bottle filling machine or labeling station, and the cycle restarts before the previous bottle fully clears.

Every stage after loading depends on what happened during thermal conditioning. If the infrared heating system delivers an uneven profile, the stretch stage either overstretches thin zones or leaves thick zones under blown, and nothing downstream corrects that. It's why the bottle making machine's control software weights heating parameters above any other single variable.
