The transformation of an amorphous polyethylene terephthalate (PET) preform into a biaxially oriented container requires precise control over thermodynamics, timing, and pneumatics. The auto drop pet blowing machine manages this journey through automated stages:
Preform Sorting and Orientation
Raw preforms are deposited into a bulk hopper elevator, where a mechanical sorting wheel aligns them with the neck finish facing upward. They then slide down a gravitational feed rail into the loading star wheel.

Infrared Thermal Conditioning
The preforms enter a multi zone infrared (IR) heating oven. To ensure an even temperature equilibrium across the material geometry, individual zones regulate the heating profile of the preform finish, body, and base. Simultaneously, continuous rotation of the preform core holder prevents localized overheating or material degradation.

Servo Driven Transfer and Clamping
Once the preform reaches its optimal material temperature typically between 95C and 115C the machine transfers it into the mold cavity. The proprietary drop mechanism aligns the preform with the mold centerline before the high pressure pneumatic toggle clamp locks the mold halves together.

Biaxial Stretch Blow Molding & Auto Drop Ejection
A servo driven stretch rod descends into the preform to mechanically extend it axially. Concurrently, a low pressure air circuit (8 to 15 bar) inflates the preform, followed by a high pressure blow circuit (30 to 40 bar) to push the plastic into the mold details. After rapid cooling, the mold opens and the integrated gravity assisted servo drop mechanism releases the finished bottle onto a discharge conveyor.
